From our trip to Victoria. The Sea lions are locals at Fisherman's wharf. The Mountain goats are road blocks in the Rockie Mountains. All pics unedited
This site is for me as I learn how to use my camera. THE PLAN: to master the camera so that one day I'll be able to create the images that haunt my dreams...

Playing with the Sun
I forgot to use my lens hood so there is lots of flare. I think I am partial to the look. What do you think?
Ukrainian Village
This past summer we went to the Ukrainian Village here in Alberta.
There was lots of photo opportunities but I found the blacksmith was the most interesting subject. And it helped that he is an uncle! These pictures are unedited. Taken with Nikon D90 Shutter priority.

Drumheller Dinosaur Provincal Park
Another interesting photography experience. This was in the museum at Drumheller. It was very dark and extremely crowded. There was also a large sign that said no tripods allowed. Time to get creative! This was back in July, I have since discovered the monopod that I probably could have taken in.

studio

I got to play in my girlfriend's studio again. I was a little stressed as I didn't have much time before I had to run to work and, of course, this was my first official session; I am sure I did everything wrong. I find when I am stressed I don't think clearly and my creative juices get blocked. Also I discovered I get camera shy! This, I think, will be something I will have to work through.

please comment on your favourite picture or what i should change ( lighting, pose, editing etc..)

Best Friends

I gave this post the same title as my good friend and fellow photographer's post. The girls in the photos are best friends and have been for a while. The young man is a brother who allowed me to do a test shot of him by the window.

We spent the afternoon together and she taught me a few things about lighting. It was a great day!
